starboard deck layout, spectra handrails, floating jib lead system, etc

Carbon backing plates for chainplate bolts. Original bolts were pulling through the backing plate.

Freshly painted bilge area. Stringers are differently spaced on this hull vs. later hulls.

Port interior. Jib lead adjuster, aft lower support, and twing are visible, as are the lines for the below-deck winches.

Starboard cabin top, including jib halyard adjuster. Considerable fairing was done on the cabin top.

Engine area. Engine mount was extended to provide cockpit floor support, and a chafe-guard added for the motor.

Backstay 8-1 purchase (leading to two cascades for a total of 32-1.

Jib lead adjuster, kevlar/spectra aft lower support, and twing lead.

Interior post refit. New floorboards, revarnished, faired, and repainted. This is the only Express 27 built with mahogany plywood vs. Occume.

#1 genoa track and new windows. Also, the low profile spectra handrails are shown. The track on the cabintop allows inboard sheeting for light wind.

G10 backing plates for bow pulpit provide considerable support as well as reinforcing the hull-deck joint.
